The solar cell calibration laboratory in the Calibration and Test Centre (CalTeC) at the Institute for Solar Energy Research (ISFH) is the first accredited calibration laboratory in Germany and one of the few in the world which offers certified measurements to determine the irradiation intensity sensitivity of solar radiation sensors as a scientific service for the photovoltaics industry and research.

Its accreditation covers the determination of irradiation intensity sensitivity (DSR measurement) under standard test conditions and as a function of operating temperature, irradiation intensity and wave length range.

The services offered by CalTeC at the ISFH now allow us to provide even more precise Si sensors, especially for PV system research and precision monitoring. Standard calibration achieves measurement uncertainties of down to 1.6% while precision calibration, including DSR measurement, delivers measurement uncertainties down to 1.2%. We are now also able to offer this service under far better conditions than before.
